Going to Production

Once you have evaluated the InfoTrack MCP Gateway in Stage and are ready to deploy to production, there are a few steps to complete with your IT team and the InfoTrack MCP Services team.

Contact the MCP Services Team

Before going live, reach out to your InfoTrack representative or the MCP Services team. They will:

  • Enable MCP access on your production account if not already configured
  • Provision your production Gateway endpoint URL
  • Configure which services are available for your integration

Platform Setup for Your Organisation

Production deployments typically require an administrator in your organisation to configure the MCP connection at the platform level, so that end users within your organisation can access InfoTrack services without managing credentials individually.

The exact steps depend on the AI platform you are using. For example:

  • In Anthropic Claude, an organisation administrator adds the InfoTrack integration as a "Connector" (Claude's term for a managed remote MCP server), making it available to all users in the organisation
  • In other platforms, your IT team may need to configure a shared MCP server entry, distribute OAuth credentials via a secrets manager, or register the integration through the platform's admin console

If you are using OAuth, your IT team will also need to configure the OAuth redirect URL and manage the Client ID and Secret. Speak with your InfoTrack representative for platform-specific guidance.

Provide Your IP Ranges

Speak with your IT department to gather your production IP ranges and provide them to the MCP Services team. The Gateway enforces rate limiting to protect service availability, and registering your IP ranges ensures your production traffic is not inadvertently throttled.

Production Credentials

Generate a new API key or configure OAuth credentials specifically for your production environment. Do not reuse staging credentials in production.

  • API keys can be generated from the InfoTrack Searching and Services portal under Settings
  • For OAuth, provide your production redirect URL to your InfoTrack representative to receive a Client ID and Secret
